Hey,

I am new here and not entirely sure that am pregnant but there are a few indicators...that i was wonderring if i could bounce off some people that might understand.

I am 28 have been with my partner for 4 years, we aren't activley trying for a baby as we 'want' to be sensible about it but are both broody as heck and keep being a bit well less than careful.

My period is now 7days late, i did a first response test three days ago..and was going crosseyed watching it so put it down and went off to do something.....to cut long story short..forgot about it checked it about 20mins later and the worlds faintest pink line in the pregnant bit. I knew that it couldn't be relied on anyway and OH said wasn't strong enough so just agreed it was a negative and tried to forget about it.

Yesterday morning still no period so did another and timed it....same again..really really faint pink line in the positive bit. I mean look at it too long and it isn't there..

Boobs are big and really sore but that is normal for me just before period anyway..

Really sniffly and sneezy for the last few days..but do have allergies so not really that unusual for me again..

Tired but work crazy hours so thats not strange..

So to sum up..I am insane, trying not to get worked up as did about 6 months ago and came to nothing..and basically i dont know and was wonderring if anyone with some experience could assist?

I know it is REALLY long..and apologise big time.

The line could be faint as your HCG levels might not be high enough yet. But, if there is even a faint line, and twice, I believe you are pregnant. One can get false negatives but not faint positives, if I am correct

Try again in a few days and see what happens

Ooh, how exciting! Good luck! I know when i read the instructions for my preg tests they said that any faint line is a positive! Let us know when its a definate!

You HCG levels may not be high enough for a very clear positive test,but if you got both tests positive then I'd say you're pregnant...you should make an appointment with your doctor...

Sounds positive to me as well. Like the others said you can try another test in a couple of days (your HCG levels should double every two days) or go into the doctor for a blood test to confirm. Good luck!

Hello,
Firstly congratulations!! Any line either dark or faint is a positive! You only produce the pregnancy hormone (HCG) when you have actually conceived, there is no way of your body producing this unless you are actually pregnant! It is possible to get a false negative because your hormone levels may not be high enough but not a false positive!

Thanks for your replies guys, am going to make an appt with docs tomorrow as did another today..earlier than i said i know but am going insane now. Anyway line is fainter than last..so thinking it might be a chemical pregnancy but still no bleed. Hey ho will see what the docs say. Thanks again guys.

Sooo..Doc looked at my sticks...they are positive. Did another there and then...negative so still no definative bfp yet..but he says i am or was blood test this afternoon to find out if still am..

y'know starting to believe that might actually be pregnant and am now incapable of thought really..think ach i dont know what i think yet..scared, ecstatic, panicked..

Sounds to me like you're positive too!! If you're still feeling uneasy try a digi test - there's no guess work involved it just says pregnant or not pregnant and both are clear!! It can detect really low HCG levels too so you still get a positive if if it's only the first day of your period being due! Good luck
