thers 2 many rules hehe
:dohh:

Yes sweets that will be fine.
Thats what my midwife advised me to do when I had Ophelia xxx

thank god 4 that hehe cos i dont fancy heating bottles in the middle of the night i can just add powder shake and feeed hehe

Hey, as long as the water is hot (70+) when you add the powder (to kill any bugs in the powder) you can do it pretty much anyway you want! Everyone seems to do it differently X

Technically it's against "the rules". The water is meant to be hot (over 70 degrees) when you add the powder, just in case there is anything nasty lurking in the powder - although this should be rare if you follow good hygeine when handling it.

The officially approved way of doing it is to make each bottle when you need it - sterilise, boil kettle, wait less than 30 mins, add water and powder, cool quickly and use.

Yup too many rules that change too often!

I make up all my bottles for the day and stick them in the fridge, then warm when needed. If I'm going out I'll grab a bottle from the fridge, stick it in a cool bag, then warm it with a travel bottle warmer (a glorified flask).

It's exactly how I do it and have been since Evie was 2 weeks old. The only thing I do different is I heat up the bottle as she wont take room temp bottles!

It's technically not the recommended way (as the water isn't over 70 degrees when the powder is added). Having said that, I know several friends who did this with multiple children - none had an issue.

I make up several bottles in one go then keep them in the fridge until I need them (no more than 24 hours)

Thanks ladies think I'll try it an c how it goes can't see baby milk having harmfull bacteria unit
