Hi, my little boy who's 2 and a half has suddenly got loads of gunk in the corner of his eye, he keeps rubbing it and it's a bit puffy, I'm certain it's conjunctivitis, I looked online on how best to treat and it just said it will clear up on its own and to keep bathing it in warm water. Just wondering if there are any eye drops I could get at chemist for him without prescription

I would just ask for drops from your doctor as they will clear it up superfast. If you really don't want to the clean with cooled down boiled water regularly might take away but depending on the infection it will need drops x

Unfortunately the docs is closed which is why I was wondering if I could buy over the counter and it's the Weekend tomorrow so I can't get him any prescribed eye drops till at least Monday. It's slightly smaller than the other eye now and pink in the corner

Hi I think over age 2 you can buy antibiotic drops from the chemist. If it's not settling with cleaning alone it might be worth a trip to boots to check?
