Construction toys for nearly 5 year old

I'm looking for other construction toy ideas. I was thinking meccano junior or k'nex. He loves the mobilo at preschool but I fear he would out grow it too soon. And I'm not sure I want to replicate the same toys.

He has a mountain of Duplo, and a small (growing) hill worth of Lego. He still jumps between both.

Was also going to say gears gears gears my nearly 5 year old loves it along with the marble run.
He also loves the lego junior range xx

Lol our house is coming down with Lego and that's all DS1 has asked for. DS2 is starting his collection with Lego juniors. The marble run and gears are joint presents so good to know they r popular in your house
