Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has had one of these appointments.
I spoke to my midwife and she says I have an appointment arranged with the consultant midwife at the hospital regarding my caesarean review, I assume this is to talk about my options for my second delivery after having a crash section the first time round?
I have pretty much decided (although not had the chance to talk to a professional) that an elective caesarean is the right option for us this time around, is this something the consultant midwife can arrange or is it her job to talk me out of it?

I'm just a bit confused!

Thanks :) xxx

yeah i had an appointment with a consultant

This appointment isn't with the consultant, It's with the lead midwife & got the letter today which says It's in the VBAC clinic. I hope they'll just book my ELCS and put me out of my misery :(

I have an appointment with a 'specialist midwife' as they put it, at 21 weeks and then see a consultant at 30 odd weeks.
I presume they just through your notes from your previous labour etc and give you information on if you would be a good candidate for a vbac or if another c-section is advised, if you've decided on an elective then make it clear to them this is what you want and you have done your research etc. good luck xx

Thanks Heidi :) I'm hoping to go in and explain it's what I want and my mind won't be changed. I have loads of stats and figures from official reports I could splurge at him but he'll know them all so that would just be silly. I just hope I'm taken seriously and if super lucky, they agree to book it for me there and then :)
xx
