Contractions...all day UPDATE!!!

Since 11am I have been having some mild contractions every 30-45 minutes. This happened to me before but didn't last this long. Im getting a little irratated with my body! I either want them to increase in strength and become more frequent or just quit all togther! The last 2 times I have been in labor, I woke up in the middle of the night with contractions 15 minutes apart...so I am wondering if it was like this before, I just slept through it. Either way...Im getting frustrated!

I'm having what I think is a false labour and have been for the past 4-5 hours. I had the same thing on Monday night and it's driving me mad! It is really uncomfortable and quite painful and soooo tiring. Makes me scared that I won't have enough energy for the real thing

Still I am having random ones. I have timed them now and some are 15 min apart...some are 10 or shorter. They last about 45 seconds and although its not horrible, it does hurt. Like a bad period cramp pain. I am starting to feel soreness in my butt and thighs also. The baby is also moving in between.

I have done this before but this is different. When my contractions were 10 minutes apart it was really painful....and very consistent. I just had one that was more painful than the last. And 20 minutes after the last one. I don't know if I should bother calling the doctor if they are not too painful. I never even talked to my doctor about when to call since I am being induced on Monday. Should I wait until these are really 5 minutes apart and really painful???

After hours of contractions and some major denial on my part...I decided when at 3 minutes apart that I should probably go to the hospital. After that it was very fast, progressed from 6 -8 centimeters in a few hours. Tried to get an epidural but this baby came so fast down after my waters were broken. Nurses and the doctor were sent into a panic getting things ready for the delivery because this baby was not waiting! I did not get my epidural and that was hard to deal with, but I did not have a choice.

For months I thought this baby was going to be big, but she was only 6 lb 9 oz. She is very cute. Everything is good and all worked out well.

How bad were your pains when you were having the contractions 3 minutes apart?

They weren't as bad at home....I think though when it set in that I was having a baby thy really started to intensify. The worst is when they are so close together and there is little break in between.
