Last night I went to bed having some cramps and some brown discharge. I woke up several times throughout the night with pain. Finally around 4 this morning I realized I was having contractions. At 530 am I had bleeding and went to the ER. At first the ER Dr thought I was dilated 1cm. I was admitted to labor and delivery for fluids and monitoring my contractions. I Was also given an antibiotic. Ob Dr examined me and I was not dilated. Ultrasound looks good. Baby's heart rate was 143. They eventually sent me home on bed rest and a prescription for procardia every 6 hours to help ease contractions. I go back Thursday for my anatomy scan and follow up.

Any advice or personal experience is greatly appreciated.

My pregnancy had been hard enough after losing a twin at 9 weeks. I'm scared.

The fact that OB said you are not dilated is a great sign!

For the next couple of days, try to continue to rest up and treat yourself to whatever helps you relax. Your anatomy scan will give you and your OB lots of information so you'll know how Baby B is doing, and there are lots of examples of bedrest and procardia stalling pre-term labor so that your LO can continue to develop.

Best wishes and lots of positive energy headed your way!

I had my follow up today. Baby is still doing great. It's a girl! Found out I have a short cervix too. Any experience with this?

Welcome I'm so Sorry for your loss :hugs: and congratulations to you and your husband. :happydance: it's a girl...

I've posted a little bit as it gets abit much repeating everything all the time but briefly I've had 4 prem babies all boys
