Contractions? Braxton hicks? Very early labour?

I have been having 'contractions'/Braxton hicks for 2 days now! I started timing them just out of interest and I am getting at least 2 an hour and they are painful enough to make me stop what I am doing and breathe! They are also waking me up in the night (not twice an hour though but probably once or twice every hour or two).
This is my 3rd baby and with the other 2 I had the odd Braxton hick through pregnancy but nothing to
Really think about. With both of those pregnancies I had a really unsettled night and period pain contractions throughout the day, regular contractions from about 7pm, really painful contractions from about 11pm and then they were born about 4am.
So this is all new and different!
I am almost 36 weeks pregnant. My dd was almost 3 weeks early and my ds on his due date.
Anybody else had the same and what happened??

Iv also had very regular and rather painful BH over the past few days! I haven't felt too good so don't know if its due to that to but it's not done anything to bring labour on etc x

I feel similar too. Unfortunately I have no advice or magic date for you (I wish I did, and for me!!) But I am feeling cramping during the day & night when I get BH, which are very regular! I have no idea what is going on It's so frustrating and making me impatient!

I've been having contractions on and off since Sunday! (Day 6 now and counting!)

They were coming every 5 - 7 mins for 6 hours the other night! So many times I've thought it's time but they just keep stopping!

With my DD I didn't have any signs until my waters broke! So this is all new to me too! I just hope he makes and appearance soon and this doesn't go on another 6 days!!

It's so frustrating! I wonder whether it's more common in subsequent pregnancies to have painful regular contractions that come and go?

I honestly can't tell what the hell my body is doing - at night I seem to get regular-ish painful contractions, maybe 1-2 an hour and I seem to semi-sleep in between; mornings I feel ok (considering) and afternoons I get severe 'lightening crotch' and it all starts again!

For instance, I am sitting here now, and every 10/15 mins or so my lower back throbs for 10 secs or so, sometimes coupled with a 'squeezing' feeling at the front bottom part of my bump/bits and a feeling of pressure on my back passage which then dies away - now, I would say this sounds and feels like a contraction but I just can't work out if my body is playing tricks on me and it's just very uncomfy braxton hicks with a side of wishful thinking :/

I'm exactly the same - it's driving me up the wall!!

I woke up last night a number of times with very strong, quite painful and long contractions but I went back to sleep and come this morning all is quiet again! I just wish baby would make an appearance now!

I went to hosp today as i woke up with a bit of blood spotting in my pants. Not sure what it was though, doc didnt mention show or comment on cervix so no idea what is was from.... Its gone brownish now. It was pink this morn..... Funny thing is, i had absolutely no cramping last night but did the night before, and then today ive had hardly noticable cramps! I have no idea what my body is doing!
