Hi ladies,

Ive had my copper coil in for almost a year and i love it, had heavy periods at first but now they're a few days long and fairly regular.
Problem is, I have a night in a hotel booked for... well you know :winkwink:... and its around the time im due on. Can i take the mini-pill (i have some left in the cupboard) to delay/stop my period whilst i have the coil?
Thanks

I don't see why not? You just need to make sure it's within the right cycle time to start- or it may throw your body off more? Since the copper has no hormones- it should be fine. The mini-pill might be enough. Sorry I can't say for sure. I was on the mini-pill while pumping- so no periods then- but needed the low dose estrogen after that (still no periods). My periods are basically nill now (with the mirena IUD)- but my lord my skin has gone berserk! I told hubby I want to go back on the pill just for my skin! :haha:

Maybe ring your doc and ask?
