Cough and Cold :(

Hi all,
Well i normally don't see this hour but i am feeling sooooo poorly , ive had a nasty cough for about a week and now ive got a stinking cold which has made my cough ten times worse when it was feeling ten times better! Everytime i lay down to go to to sleep my cough just gets worse, am so tired. Not to sure if i should go to doctors in the morning for my cough just in case i have an infection, bit worried about anti-biotics ( haven't sorted my ticker yet im 15 weeks tomorrow ) i'm allergic to penicillin too so dont think i take the normal ones they prescribe when your expecting.
Sorry to go on but my everyone in my house is asleep and am feeling a lil lonely , Any suggestions for my cough would be great if you could share with me , i'll try anything now!

You poor girl! Sounds to me like you have a chest infection or bronchittis. I've been coughing like crazy too so I think it's time I see a doctor too.

As for remedies, shoot, I have no idea what one could take while pregnant. Sorry I am no help. Perhaps a cup of tea or hot lemon water might help a bit to soothe your throat?

Or gargle with mild salt water.

But I do hope you feel better soon!

Have any vicks? Try rubbing that on your throat and chest!

I suck on hard candies when I have a cough/sore throat and that seems to help. Hope you are feeling better

Damn, i'm feeling the same. All bunged up with sneezing and coughing. Was unsure whether to go to the GP and get something for it but not sure if I can take anything?
