I have jus been diagnosed with bpv (benign positional vertigo) after having it for several months and was wondering waht could have brought this on?
Could it be possible that giving birth brought this on?

i had no pain relief and was pushing for 3 hours, my first bout ofvertigo came on 6 weeks pp xxx

I also suffer from terrible vertigo. It only began after giving birth for me as well - around the same time as you. I would definitely say either pregnancy or birth started it up.

Thanks for replying hun. yeah i cant think what may have brought it on as i didnt have a vius/cold etc at the time. Howdo you feel now? do you get it every now and again or is it kinda constant like mine? xx

It is much much better now. It slowly just faded on its own. I still can't play Ring Around The Rosy with my son without getting very very dizzy and nearly puking... but ah well! Could be much worse.

There are certain stretches you can do to improve it. I found good posture alone did my vertigo wonders.

yes i find depending how im facing/laying etc its makes it worse/better. i just hope these tablets im taking makes it go away as its taken over my life at the moment, so depressing xxx

That's awful! I never took any drugs for mine. Mine always got worse if I turned my head or looked upwards. It is so strange. :(

I reaaally hope yours improves, I know how terrible it can be.

thanks hun, ive had a couple of bad spells but then ive always got this kind of 'rocking' sensation that never goes away. hopefully the tablets will work if not theyre going to refer me to the ENT hospital. Hope you are well now
take care xx
