Hi everyone! First post....

I had my anatomy ultrasound this week at 19 weeks and was told baby is a girl because the tech "couldn't see any boy parts".

Has anyone been told their having a girl because the absence of a visual penis in the ultrasound and then later had a boy?

TIA!

imo yes this could be wrong, and I believe that most mistakes are when people are told girl due to not seeing boy bits. Ideally you want to see one set of bits or the other rather than making a guess on not seeing any. Saying that it is a rare occasion, but I do know someone irl who was told this and delivered instead of her 1st girl her 5th son:) If its important for you to know for shopping or decorating purposes then maybe get a reassurance scan:)

Yeah, I would not trust it unless they saw the three little lines that definitively mean girl. Could you maybe get another opinion at an elective ultrasound place?
