Well ladies, I do have to admit every ache and pain I can't help but wonder is this it. But today I've felt a bit different. I've had really runny poo (sorry tmi) all day and i keep getting cramps as though i need the toilet again:wacko:

Now i've heard this could be a sign. Should I stay hopeful? Or am I just being a wishful crazy symptom spotter:dohh: I haven't eaten anything that could give me an upset stomach:nope:

How many ladies had this before they went into labour and if so how long was it before labour began?

I can't help with advise as this is my first too but I feel like I'm doing the exact same as you. I seem to get period like pains quite often lately - even though it seems to be more at night :-/ & the last few days my poos are getting softer & softer. This morning I went to the loo & it wasn't the nicest of poos lol & my stomach felt awful while going! You just think "oooh might not be much longer" but then when nothing happens my hopes vanish! Think I will take my dog for the longest walk today! See if that helps! Lol

I would say that's a good sign! I've had nausea and period pains which my mw said were good signs, she told me to keep an eye out for diarea (sp?!) as this is another good sign your body is starting to 'clear out' to prepare for labour. I duno if it means labour is immediately imminent, but I'd def say you're on the right tracks :)

I'm due sept 20th too :)

I have had the same, for the last few days so on sunday me and OH took our two dogs on a walk for about 2 hours and still waiting!! hope it means it is getting close but as you said when nothing has happened i have become resigned to the fact that this LO is not going to be evicted early and she is going to take some time and possibly sum persuasion to come in to the world!! xx

i never had this with my first i was really scared of pooing in labour ha i didnt but it worried me so much. I have read though that your body tries to evacuate everything in preperation for labour and that dhiarrhea can be a sign of labour so sounds like a sign to me :) I hope so for you. I was getting braxton hicks every 5 mins all day yesterday and last night so i was like ooo maybe this is it...now theyve stopped! Rubbish. Good Luck xxxx

I've been having period pains and runny poos (sorry tmi) for the last few days. It's a bit early for me though, i'd rather wait at least a couple of weeks!
