Ok ladies. Opinions please. I went to the doctors at 15weeks 2 days and had a last minute scan before I went to go get my cerclage placed. Baby was spread eagle and doctor said it was 100% a boy. The penis was very obvious. She never took any pictures or anything. Well, I went back for my anatomy scan at 20 weeks and a different doctor said she thinks its a girl instead. The baby was in a tight ball and wouldn't open its legs. I got pictures from this scan, but I am skeptical because of baby's position. What do you all think?

I see what looks like 3 lines in the second picture so it is very possible he could actually be a she since 15 weeks is still pretty early.

It's not the best picture but does look like a girl.
I'd be having another scan to check! X

3 lines means girl, and I do see that. Maybe first scan doctor was seeing the nub and mistook it for a penis?

Three lines can be boy as well...depending on placement.
I would get another scan if you want to be certain.

I'd get another scan to be certain.

Here's my little boys potty shot at around 17 weeks. 3 lines & not that dissimilar to one of your shots.

Wow that must have been a surprise!! Looking forward to your next scan update. Was it the same person who did both scans?

No, the first doctor was older, she had been there a long time. And, I even asked her, isn't 15 weeks a little early to tell the gender, she said "sometimes yes, but girls don't have these parts even this early, and it definitely isn't the cord." The new doc that did this scan was younger and hadn't been there that long. I'm not saying age is a factor, but, still makes me wonder. I asked the doctor that did this scan if she had ever been wrong. she said, yes, 3 times, and all 3 times she said girl and it was born a boy. So, hopefully at my next scan they can get a better shot!
