Counting DPO's

Hello! Quick question I was hoping you guys can help me with

On the day the egg drops (I can usually feel the cramping in my ovary), is that considered DPO1? Or would it be the next day, the day AFTER the egg is released? Sorry if this is a dumb or redundant question but I'm confused and may have been 'off' when counting my DPO's this cycle. Any help would be great! Thanks!
