Ok so LO has colic and changed her milk to cow and gate comfort - she was on SMA GOLD - I did want aptamil comfort but supermarkets for some reason had ran out....

Just wondering if anybody has any experience of the cow and gate comfort milk?

x

i dont have any experience with cow and gate as it never seemed to fill my daughter up (i dont even think there is a difference though lol) changing milk may be giving her dicky tummy as she is trying to get use to something new..for the colic i found dentinox, colic drop in the bottle and standing up doing gentle bounces worked great :) colic is awful and i feel your pain if you ever want someone to moan about it too im here :D

Yes the cow and gate comfort really helped with Jadens colic, cleared up within 2 weeks tops using the comfort milk. We started out on SMA then changed too it. x

I started on SMA too and tried the Aptamil Comfort and normal Aptamil but this didn't do anything. The best thing for Bradys colic was changing to regular Cow and Milk first stage milk and Dr Browns bottles.

we are on cow and gate comfort milk in Dr Browns. We started at 5 weeks then tried normal milk at 11 weeks but went back to comfort!

Good milk, just make sure you stir it well!

I use this - it has been a godsend for my LO's trapped wind and constipation.

Be warned - their bottom will be pretty offensive for a week or two. We're talking lots of stinky trumps, and really foul, almost putrid smelling green nappies.

The good news is all that calms down after a while, although the poos stay green.

I don't know if you're started using it yet, but it's a thicker formula, so you might need the next size teats - and if you were using the stage 1 milk before you might find that your LO will want less. My DS dropped a bottle entirely and started going through the night!

I found one or two drops of Infacol before each feed cleared up colic. I also found regular stage 1 Cow and Gate gave my baby smelly wind and dirty nappies only every other day. I changed to regular Aptamil stage 1 - no smelly wind and lots of pooy nappys!

SNAP.. c&g found to be the best for Mylo too.
and we could stop the infant gaviscon after a week of that coupled with Dr Browns bottles.

My LO has reflux and has a lot of difficulty with trapped wind. We moved from sma to cow and gate as SMA wasnt filling him and making his poo's quite hard then bought infacol. Now he's on stage one cow and gate with Gavison in his bottles and a drop of infacol before every feed and it helps a lot!
