cow & gate comfort first?

I've switched to cow&gate comfort first after reading it was filling and didnt upset babys tummy because of less lactose, was using aptamil hungrier baby and she was really unsettled feeding every hour or under an hour and only having short naps rarely, now ive only used the cow and gate tonight and she finishes the whole 4oz recommended and has been crying and crying for more, so shes just taken another oz and thats her settled, is it ok to go against the recommended 4oz 4 scoops to 5oz 5 scoops?

or, on the other hand does anyone know a really good formula that settles their babies no problemo?

Don't follow the guidelines ever!! They are only a guide. She knows how hungry she is x

I don't follow the guidelines either - they are only a guide and every baby is different. Just follow your babies lead. x

I agree with Toria & Icside - I have never stuck to the guidelines on the tin, if Jack wanted more I gave him more, if he didn't want as much, I never force him to drink it. I will say with the comfort formulas, they are thicker, but they get digested quicker as not to irritate the tummy, so baby will feel hungrier sooner if anything. Perhaps the Aptamil 2 just wasn't agreeing with her. We had to try a few formulas before we settled with C&G 2, Jack is on C&G 3 now
