Cow & Gate comfort milk??

Hi girls,

Owen has really bad reflux and the HV has told me to chnage his milk to c&g comfort milk, which is fine, but iv noticed that after adding the powder to the water and giving it a good shake etc, there's still lots of little clear crystals in it?!?!?!? Si second bottle i made a shook it for AGES!!! but still the cyrstals were there. Anybody else had this,and know what to do????

It's fine. It behaves very differently to standard formula, so don't worry! You'll also find that it separates if you let it stand, coats the inside of the bottle and is a lot thicker.

Hopefully HV told you - but you need a faster teat, and it may make LO's poos wetter, greener and really stinky - although that should improve after a week or two!

Thanks hun, I have a 0+ vari flow teat on Owen's bottles, are they ok for it?? So even tho the crystals are there,is that ok too??xxx

Variflow are fine, and the crystals are nothing to worry about.

Keep an eye on the teats when you wash them each time though - my variflows split after a while and gave my DS an unexpectedly large mouthfull!

i was going to say be carefull with the variflows they are terrible for splittling if your LO is sucking hard! x
