Now i know its not meant to replace breast milk until a year old but...

now im back at work in the evenings i wondered whether i could give jack a little cup ful while im gone as expressing isnt working any more?//

I dunno if 9 months is too early hun  - why dont you see what the HV thinks??

I know my doc said that as long as his weight is where it should be and he eats his healthy 3 meals a day ..a lil bit of cows milk wont hurt .

have you already tried him on it before ? how did he react

he has it in is cereals and stuff and loves it!!

I dont want to replace breast milk i just wanna give him one cup 3 days a week.

If he likes it and it agrees with him then go for it :)

It wont harm him !

In that case Claire, I agree - Go for it! I was gonna say if you were at all worried you could use the filtered stuff - Cravendale I think. :) x

Is the filtered one 3.25% ? I always use natrel brand but I wonder if they make filter ones good enough for the baby

although lately I found one here from LIBERTE thats 3.9% fat yummy ..no wonder my lil bugger is getting cheeks and a butt

I'm not sure - they do a full fat one here...not sure what the %age is???

oh ok ..Ill stick to his fatty one he loves it I dont it ..its so freaking thick

Thanks girls i knew some one on here would know!

I just dont want him getting thrsty for milk while on gone x

If he's already having it on his cereal it obviously agrees with him and you still get your special time with Jack when you're not working - perfect! x

I personally wouldn't, the reason they say not until 12mo is it's very hard on their tummies and hard for them to digest. It cooked into things, like cheeses and yogurts is one thing, but drinking it plain is harder on them

I gave Benn a drink of cows milk every now and again when he as 10 months and he was alright.

im gonna give him the odd cup when im not there i dont think it will hurt him as he has it on his brekkie . Thank you everyone x
