My son is 6 weeks old and for the past few weeks I've noticed he has what looks like cradle cap on his fore head and nothing on his head which is bizarre, he also has a rash on his body nothing major but deffo a rash and the past 3 nappie change there has been little bits of blood mixed in with his poo.

We have our 6 week check tomorrow so I'll have a word with my go about it but could this be a result of a milk allergy he has been a very colicky baby

UPDATE
I saw my gp today and explain what was happening with little one and he agreed with me that my little boy may have a milk allergy and he recommended aptamil pepti1 and he gave me a prescription for it and 4 bottles in I can already see an improvement with little one he's not been fussy when taking his bottle and seems to be settling better so I'm hoping this has solved the problems

I had a post like this last week. Took baby in and Doc said baby has eczema. I bet if you scroll on down you can find the post. I think it was titled "reassure me this is cradle cap" and I attached a pic. It spread to his ears and cheeks after his forehead.

We have been putting petroleum jelly on it, as per doc recommendation and it looked loads better. But I got sick of slathering him in petroleum and asked on here about what other doctors have recommended for eczema and we bought the aveeno baby eczema lotion. That has worked wonders the last few days. He looks fabulous now. :)

Not sure about the cradle cap but blood in the poo and a rash are symptoms of a milk allergy from what I've read. Does he have reflux at all? My DD has silent reflux which can be linked to a milk allergy/intolerance and so we're about to try her on a cow's milk free formula. She also has dry skin/cradle cap on her forehead but doesn't have a rash or blood in her poo.

Yes he has a reflux after every bottle he sicks up his milk and I can't lie him flat I've had to by a wedge for his crib I always put him in his swing because it's at a tilt and he is content when in that x

Poor little man glad the milk is working ds2 had a milk allergy and only just outgrew it things get so much easier once there on the right milk it took me till 5 months to get anyone to listen to me X
