Cramps after smear

I had a smear yesterday it was painless but since I have been spotting and the cramps seem worse today...I'm not a 10day pill to stop my period as I was on my period for 16 days and had to keep cancelling my smear because of it I was started on them and the bleeding stopped until the smear, I don't remember bleeding or having cramps after my first smear last year which was mildly abnormal we left it to see if they would go away on there own but they haven't and now I'm freaking out that's it's got worse.

Mostly likely it just got things moving up in there- if that makes sense? but if it continues to worsen, then it can't hurt to ring your doctor and advise.

It actually turned out that despite being on tablets to stop my period my period still came and now I have had horrendous cramp for 4 days not fun, I am awaiting my results and have my biopsy date for next month.
