Hello!
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about cranberry supplements and TTC?
I asked the pharmacist who reviewed the ingredients and said it should be okay. Just wondering...
Thanks!

I think it dries your CM so you might need to use pre-seed or drink extra water

I heard it dries and lowers your ph in your cm. Perfect for trying for a girl baby, but I would use preseed or sylk if you want to conceive any gender :)
BTW, Im using cranberry along side other supplements to ttc a girl, we shall see if it works.
What kind of cranberry are you using, like whats the equivalent on the packet? Mines equivalent to 18,000 cranberries per capsule

I take them my doctor said they were okay...i could not go without them

Thank you for your responses!
I am not sure the equivalent number of cranberries..it doesnt say. But each pill is 475mg and the dose recommendation is 4 pills. I take between 2-4 pills per day. Only been taking them about a month but no signs of a UTI!

UTI's are a pain so I would continue taking them. If you notice that you're dry around OV time just add pre-seed to the mix :) Good luck :dust:

I found the once a day Max strength is much easier to take...four times a day sucks.

im famous for getting uti lol i drink 1 cup of diet cranberry juice everyday and i havent had any uti since 2009 i love it!!

Cranberry supplementation works by increasing the acidity of your urine, which is bad for the bacteria that causes UTI's. Red wine or grape seed extract also works the same way. The problem with this while ttc is it also increases the acidity of your CM, which as I'm sure you know by now is bad for sperm. Unfortunately, I've tried finding other ways to ward off UTI while TTC, and all of them are bad during pregnancy.... As such, there's not really much you can do about it, aside from increasing your water intake. I'm also susceptable to UTI, and I know how much more of a problem it can be while TTC since we can't immediately jump up to use the restroom after BD. I wish there was a better answer to this, but there just isn't that I've found yet. I personally have stopped taking the cranberry extract during my fertile period, and as long as I keep drinking water it has seemed to help. Good luck to you.
