Craving salt and vingegar hula hoops?

Hey, I'm 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first baby. Last couple of weeks I've been craving salt & vinegar hula hoops and anything potatoe based especially hash browns and mash potatoe. Is this ok to indulge in? I'm trying not but then keep thinking about them I'm also trying to eat alot of fruit and veg mainly fruit at the moment but thats because its a bit difficult to get into my kitchen as having central heating fitted this week. I'm trying to drink lots of water especially as I have urine infection and have a bowl of cornflakes each morning with milk (also craving corn but having cornflakes covers that). I want to make sure I'm doing the best for baby to give him or her the best start.

I have had a pack of crisps today but really fancy some more have had a bannana, pear and a salad sandwich so far today. Having sausages, mash and green beans for tea tonight. Does anyone else seem to get hungry soon after eating. Sorry this probably sounds really silly just theres so much different information about what you should and shouldn't eat and its my first pregnancy and I seem to worry about everything. Hopefully after having my 12 week scan next monday I'll feel a bit better and less worried. Sorry for such a long post.
 
Eat as many potatoes as you like, they're harmless. I still crave them now :lol:
 
Oh and in first tri I was constantly STARVING!

A banana, pear and salad sandwich sounds like a good old fashioned crazy craving. I love it! I feel so dull as only have hankerings for haribo, cherry tomatoes and yoghurt.

I get that craving yoghurt is prob for the calcium, and the tomatoes are probably for the vitamins, but no idea what haribo are adding to the mix.

I'm sure that as long as you're eating fresh fruit and vegatables, you'll be fine munching away on potatoes. I agree that the conflicitng advice is confusing though.

get stuck into those crisps...

loving the hula hoop craving :happydance: i had that with my first child ready salted ones, they tasted like roast dinners :haha:
 
I also have a huge thing for potatoes at the minute!! specially mash yummmmmmmmmmmmm!! im going out tonight for a meal and keep thinking "ohhh i'll have this and ask for mash" lol

Also love cheese just now which i think may be for the calcium!! xx
 
I'm hungry all the time too, I swear I could eat all day but try to stop because I don't want to be huge! Eating does ease my nausea though.

My cravings so far are grapefruits and McDonalds. I could eat a McDonalds every day but have had to limit it to one a week - seriously weird, before I was pg I was a bit of a healthy eating freak and only every ate home cooked healthy meals. Never really touched fast food, but now I can't stand the home cooked stuff and just want to indulge in greasy rubbish!! I hope its passes soon! x
 
Mmmmmmmmm salt and vinegar hula hoops that sounds like a good idea. All will power has gone out of the window at the moment, I never eat junk food on a regular basis but now anything goes. It’s a good job I've been sick most days otherwise I'd be massive by now!!
 
I crave salt and vinegar chips, And every kind of potato's imaginable.

Yesterday I went to Burger King and ordered a Chicken Crisp Salad, and a Large Frie. The woman at the window looked at me like I was crazy!:rofl:
 
i craved ready salted hula hoops with my first too, that and fanta! isn't that odd?
 
Here is my list of things I have craved so far -

*Salt and Vinegar Seabrook Crisps
*Bacon Sandwichs - Make me wanna yak now though!
*Dr Pepper
*Pickled Onions
*Tangtastic Haribos
*Curry
*Pickled Onion Monster Munch
*Fanta
*Toasted Teacakes

I honestly wouldn't worry about indulging, I was speaking to my doctor as I am really struggling with MS at the moment and was worried that all my cravings where so bad, he said whilst I am in a bad stage of morning sckness just to eat whatever I could keep down even if it means eating crap constantly. I have about 4 packets of crisps a day!!
 
ooh and whereas all i can normally manage is a korma at the minute if i want a curry i want a HOT curry!
 
Thanks girls I'm so lucky to have found all you lovely ladies, after reading the posts I had another pack of hula hoops and they tasted so good :happydance: . Now I'm trying to decide whether to have mash or hash browns with my sausages hmmmmm decisions decisions maybe mash now and hash browns as a snack later!!

If I eat regularly I can just about keep on top of the nausea!!
 
I have had two packets of salt and vinegar hulas today and am having jacket spuds for tea....seem to be craving carbs!!
 
missamoo what your first a girl or boy? as well as the ready salted hula hoops i craved fanta and coke lol

I'm having jacket potatoes for tea with Chilli cooked by H2B!! Yummy :D
 
This thread is making me hungry! :rofl: So far for me, I'm loving dairylea (on toast) and dunkers!!!

she was a girl. i just craved anything with salt particularly.
 
ohh dariylea dunkers are so good I like the one's with the jumbo tubes which I think are corn and potato so no surprise there then :haha:
