cravings indicate sex of baby?

Is there any truth that the foods you crave when pregnant indicate the sex of the baby? Im mad on pineapple (fruit,juice and pineapple and cheese sticks) Also strawberries and any sweety fruits. Also am loving Jubbly tropical lollies (25p for 10 in tesco so I bought loads!) Im 8wks so have a few weeks til I can see the midwife so am looking around to see if theres any clues to the sex yet. Does anyone believe cravings or anything else indicates a boy or girl?

I did a search on this a while ago and from the ladies signatures of what their baby's sex turned out to be it was 50/50 on the salty/sweet boy/girl theory lol

There really is no truth in old wive's tales. They're are fun though to /guess/ the gender! I wish I was craving fruit right now, I am so stuck on salty foods it's pathetic lol. Oh and Cranberry and Orange flavored muffins. Yummmm

my mum and OH are both into the old wives tales about pregnancy
So theyr both telling me these weird ways to predict the sex. Il just wait til I see it on a scan

I took a test on the internet of wive's tales and according to it, my son should be a girl lol. Deep down I knew he was a boy though. Can't beat instincts!

Ive craved strawberries, and anything strawberry flavoured right from the start, along with pineapples, melons.. and any other nice sweet fruits.. I'm having a girl. I really dnt think theres any truth in any wives tales tho.. but its all a bit of fun guessing!

im just craving anything salty.. altho i dont know what im having yet cause im 12 weeks.. haha.. used to have a bad sweettooth before the pregnancy... but just pure salt now.. craving bacon, chinese, burgers... everything thats bad for me urgh.. lol.. wish i could crave some really healthy stuff.. =] x

Both my girls i craved fruits as the main craving. i think there is some to it as most of my friends and family who loves fruit maybe not craved it but had a prefrence for it during pregnancy had girls. and the ones that had boys had a prefrence for anything from pizza to a big fat juicy steak lol. but i wonder how much of that is us with our instinct thinking we should eat that food. i hope that makes sense.

I seem to be craving strawberries. I went to town just to buy a punnet. (Town is miles away). For some reason, I just wanted berries, berries, berries. Not sure why. Perhaps it's cos I'm going to have a girl but I won't take it seriously until I have the scan to confirm.

I don't believe in old wives tales either however... I do think mommy instincts are pretty dead on I been wanting a girl since i got my BFP However I know It's going to be a boy!! I have a gut feeling!!! I will Update you all on what it turned out to be in about 4 more weeks

Its nice to see peoples views. Theres so many weird sayings over pregnancy. OH read if your pee is dark its a boy or if your left boob is bigger then the right your having a girl
Im just waiting to see it in a scan. Im only 8wks so have ages to go til I can see if its a Zoey or a Leo
