hi guys,

I have to arrange some safety precautions in our flat before Juleika starts to crawl (e.g. loads of cables behind the computer!!!)

that's why I wanted to know, when they approximately start to crawl?

ps: what do/did you do with cables behind the computerdesk?

Babies normally start to crawl anytime between 6 months to 8 months.

Simon and I attend mommy-baby conferences weekly and the girl there suggested something: She said to walk on all fours around you place and then you'll see the hazards through your baby's eyes! Makes sense though I felt a little silly! It helps you notice the wire dangling down the bookshelf... A pull on that and baby gets it on the head! I might not have thought about that as the lamp was way up. Glad I did the test!

that's a very good approach

I can see the hazards already, as I still can remember the time, when my sister started crawling! nothing, but really nothing what she could reach at, was secure anymore!

she even unscrewed a screw, with which the toilet bowl was fixed on the floor
