Crazy amount of canker sores!

I woke up yesterday morning with a bunch of canker sores or blisters on the edge and under my tongue. It looks more like a couple canker sores on each side of the tongue and blisters or enlargement where all the glands are under the tongue.

It's been really painful. After a nap today, it seemed to hurt more (I have difficulty talking now) and there is now also a bump or the start of a canker sore where the bottom of my lower lip and gum meet. A tiny blister also formed on the corner of my lip.

I worry about foot, hand, mouth disease as I have what I think is a heat rash on the back of my hands, but they don't look like the rash from google images. I don't have a fever or feel sick. My 3 year old son doesn't have it.

Anyone know if it's pregnancy related? Anyone experienced this? What to do? I've been using Biotene, salt water gargle, coconut oil pulling and nothing is really working.

I should probably see someone for it tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I should call the midwife or my family doctor.

Ive heard that sores in the mouth during pregnancy is common. Try using lemon oil. Essential oils are GREAT! And lemon oil is used for canker sores. As for the itching, ive had itching since before my bfp. It was one of my pregnancy indicators. And it happened with dd1 that is also normal. My doctor said if its bad enough benedryl will be safe to take. I have it all over my legs....normal too.

Is your child in daycare? It's possible that they carried home a disease like hand, foot and mouth from daycare or something. I would definitely recommend that you mention it to your midwife/doctor and see what they say to start in the morning.

Thanks! I'll call midwife and then probably family doc once they're open.

My son is in preschool 2 days a week and I know the disease have been going around all the daycares, but its odd that he doesn't have any a sign of illness if I have it.
