crazy testing

Does anyone Know how reliable boots own brand of pregnancy test is. I have a very faint line in positive window. Have been trying for four and a half years and dare not hope. Hubby will not let me take the other test in pack untill he gets home as it may be a mistake and negative and he does not want me to be alone. I have heard of people testing for hormones on OPK. I have one clear blue OPK test left shall I try this? How reliable is this? I can not spend an afternoon of this crayness

I'm not sure hun, but most shop brands are supposed to be pretty effective. I really hope this is it for you, fingers crossed! xx

omg how can you wait till hubby gets home! i'd be going nuts!

i dont know what the sensitivity is on boots tests, probably 25 maybe even 50. personally i would say if you have a faint line then its very possible you could have done it honey! i have no idea if a OPK would give you any indiction, dont go by that because basically its NOT a pregnancy test.

when i went to my dr and told her i was confused because i'd taken 5 different pregnancy tests, some fainter, some darker she laughed at me and said "i think one is enough and if you have a visible line, then its positive" haha she thought i was crazy taking so many!!

OMG Starbean thats sounding soooooo very good for you! Especially a smiley on a CB opk!!! Those ones just dont lie, and you cant be ov'ing!!!!!
Boots tests are good btw, I know peeps who have used them and its a line or not a line!

Hubby home early. Digital pregnancey test says pregnant 1-2- weeks We are both Shocked but with big smiles on our faces.

We have been trying for 4 and a half years. I am 38 Hubby 44. We had a low sperm count 1/20 mil and was due to start IVF this next cycle. I know we have a long journey a head. I never even thought we could manage this on our own. I hope this gives hope to others to keep the faith.

My OH also has low count and I'm 39, OH is 42. Your story is certainly putting a smile on my face and letting me know that we are right to keep on believing.

Just a quick question, did you feel any different? Did you think you might be pregnant beside AF being late? How many dpo are you (if you've tracked!)?

Hi Fb Baby and all,
I had the usual pre menstral symtems. I did not think it would be on the cards for us as in my mind I was prepared to start IVF. I almost put the first test back in the box with out looking at it for very long but fortuately i sat in some good light and started to see the faint line.

Hubby and I have over the last 6 months made some changes, loose underwear and no baths at all for Hubby (also no cats sitting on his lap for hours in the evening!) We have drank plenty of fresh fruit smoothies, long walks, and pre conception vitamins.

As for any early symtems I have been very moody and tearful with hubby over the last 4-5 days. Large painful spots on chin and thats all I have to report.
