well where do i start?
well this is my 5th baby
and i was feeling mega pissed that i was now over 41wks pregnant, i really didn't think this baby was ever going to come out 
i went for a sweep at 41+1 which didn't seem to do anything. i had some loss of mucus but not an awful lot. the sweep hurt so much, a lot more than i'd remembered when i'd had one years ago
so now it was the friday and i felt crampy all day, i just knew that something was going to happen and some time soon
i later started losing lots of mucus which excuse my wording 
like snot hanging out of mary i went to bed about 10pm i'd been getting bh's pretty much all the time anyway so the pains i were getting were pretty much the same and nothing to write home about 
so at about 3am i woke up needing the toilet, i rem looking at the clock and thinking, oh man i cant believe i'm still pregnant
more skank came out and i thought this baby is so coming soon!! so off i went to bed and i woke up again say about 4am or there abouts and knew something was happening i had awful cramps, but these were not like bh's, the pain was lower (obv i have done this 4 times prev) so knew this was it the pain was like period/poop pain coming now and then but they weren't so bad, i thought about going back to bed for a while but knowing this is my 5th baby, things should go pretty quick. my last labour was full on and i wanted to push in the car so i thought better of it this time got ready to go.
i called our friend to come rd and watch the other kids so i was waiting for him, and on the phone to the hospital, they also told me to come asap.
off we went only takes about 10 mins and i was feeling really quite chilled, which i said to the mw, that's what worries me lol i knew things would change just like that she wanted to examine me to see what was going on, i was 4-5cm and feeling ok 
because this is my 5th, i might need a drip after birth or during of fluids of some sort or i'm a higher risk of a heavy bleed so the mw wanted to leave a needle in my hand so that if need be, i could have access asap. i was still feeling ok at this point, but contractions were getting closer and more intense , she was about to put the needle in, and i said i really didn't feel well at all i felt giddy and i was gonna pass out apparently with that, my body was i guess convulsing and i had indeed passed out i woke up with doctors and lots of mw's in the room.
i didn't know what had just happened, but knew something was up everyone was worried and flapping about, my dh looked scared!! he then said you ok love, you went nuts there i was like ewww i dunno weird!! i had someone looking and poking my mary they said they needed to break my waters as they wanted to check that baby wasn't in distress, so they went ahead and did it. the water gushed everywhere i was still feeling poorly but now my contractions didn't seem to go away at all, and they then wanted to put a clip on lo's head as they wanted to make sure all was still well with her. whilst doing so the mw or doc not sure who it was said do i want to push as i was 10cm but with a small lip left but she would help me, by this she meant ram her fingers inside and push the last teeny bit away!! so i was ready to push!!
i was laying on the bed legs akimbo gas &air hanging out of my mouth howling and moaning like a wild animal. saying things such as "i cant do it, i cant do it" and kinda holding my lower tummy and shutting my legs, i guess i was in denial about, what was gonna happen i rem thinking as i was laying there OMFG never ever am i doing this again said she for the 5th time i could feel every single thing. don't get me wrong g&a is amazing stuff but you still feel lit all i remember pushing down into my bum and then me saying oh no but i haven't had a pooh yet today again i know what happens iv'e done this before you have no control over what comes out, you just cant stop it. but just a few pushes later the head was born omg i rem looking down and thinking fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck i was then crying dry tears saying " just pull it out" !!! they obviously didn't i still had a push or so to go so the next contraction i pushed as hard as i could and the baby slid out what an amazing feeling 
its so hard to describe but now the pain had just pretty much stopped!! that hard lump was now out my whole body was full of shakes. the baby got put on the little air thing but didn't need it.
they all couldn't believe how big she looked they took the clip off her head etc and handed her to me i felt really restricted all the blood pressure machine, and the iv line i hated that part, but obviously needed it i think it was all down to hypotension ( low bp ) which i'd never had before. i'm so glad i didn't have this lo at home and decided to go to hospital sooner rather than later!! things could of been horrific!
but my baby was finally here a bootiful little (well big) lol 9lb 8oz little gracie she really is lovely and yes ladies now its all over i do kinda miss it nuts or what!! i guess when its over there's nothing left to do is there???? i didn't need stitches, i also rem this time panting when told ( so pant ladies) but i do have a small tear, but it will heal on its own. i feel pretty good all apart from the after pains most that have not had subsequent babies before prob wont suffer these, but oh lord there so painful, especially when i'm bf her i'm taking paracetomol atm but its not great! and my nipples feel like razor blades but fear not ladies the pain will be gone soon enough, and hopefully bf will work out for us the blood loss has already improved but the more you do the worse it will be! i stayed in hospital for that day and went home the next, i'm so glad i did, even though lo decided that all she wanted was boobie all night long so i didn't get any peace
my labour was scary but quick and all ended out ok i think the clock said 4.20am or so when i arrived there and i'd had her at 5.36am but no matter what happens with yours ladies, whether its quick, slow, c section or not quite what you planned, its all over soon enough and you will get your prize at the end !!
1st night home last night was much better and today the kids are at school so i only have her and my 18month old who's currently taking a nap!!! so think i will too lol
i hope this birth story makes sense i'm just gonna try and upload some pics of my little chunky monkey! i need to put them on lap top as there all on my phone so i might do that later lol x
