Are cross trainers any good?

What parts of the body are they good for? and are they any good for the tummy area?

Crosstrainers are good for the butt, thighs and upper body like the biceps area? I think the rowing machine is good for abs and obv lotsa sit ups and stomach crunches!
 
Ive just ordered a cross trainer to hire...its coming tomorrow. I think the main benefit of a cross trainer is cardio for over all weight loss... it gets your heart rate up but is low impact for your joints. xx
 
There are several things to look for when you buy one. I live in Copenhagen and bought one from the local fitnessstore.

I lost around 5 kilos in 3 months and didn't get any kind of injuries.
 
When I used my crosstrainer for an hour five times a week, after six weeks my stomach had a lot more definition. As did other areas.
 
im debating whether a cross trainer or a rowing machine would be best, any ideas? :flower:
