Isobelle seems to be very unsettled from 3pm onwards everyday for past few days now ...

Anyone else had this and / or know what it could be???

Also are you bothered by your LO cryin when out? It really worries me what peope are thinking when we out and she wont settle...

Mine was colicky so I didn't care what people thought. First, parents will understand. Anyone whose not a parent probably won't understand but that's nothing new!

From 3pm onward probably means a build up of stimulation from the day being released. How long is she awake before her next nap? It probably means she didn't sleep enough or the sleep she had was not very restful. It can also be a buildup of gas/tummy pains from the day.

Well today she slept from 1030 til 2pm but she was quite restless, grumblin etc, then from 3pm until just now, 4hrs later, she screamed constantly. Me nd MIL went for dinner nd she didnt stop, and eople were giving me evils. She took 6oz feed but still didnt settle afterwards. I tried everything from gripe water to nappy change and water.also tried ANOTHER feed but she was choking on it. She stopped crying now but wont sleep...

At 6 weeks they go through a growth spurt so it could be growing pains from that.. My LO is going through it too although it seems to effect her in the mornings.. I find swaddling helps and massaging her legs, arms and back.. She might get cold though so is best to do it in a warm room maybe the bathroom after youve just bathed her or had a bath yourself using a little baby oil or moisturising cream..

Sounds like colic to me. Jamie went through this too xx

My LO was like this and it was overtiredness/overstimulation. He started getting really active at about that time and was always mega alert, the longest he could last being awake was 90 minutes and then he would go into total meltdown and scream for hours, used to drive me crazy as he was so tired but just couldn't and wouldn't sleep. Sometimes he'd fall asleep eventually by rocking him with his dummy in but he would fight me all the way, arching his back and scratching and hitting me. Other times I would take him back into a light room and he would get a second wind from somewhere and calm down again. He is still not capable of being awake for more than 2 hours, often shorter if he's been very active, and doesn't ever just drop off to sleep so I have to put him down in his cot in the dark, swaddled, with white noise and dummy. Even then he only ever naps for 45 minutes...
