CSA update!

wee update on my case. i recieved a letter from csa this morning stating the amount FOB had to give me weekly, they got income infor from his employer. Then just before dinner time, recieved a phone call from them saying that they had calculated wrongly and i was entitled to less than what they had originally told me and asked me if i wanted FOB to pay me direct or through CSA, i said through them as i know he wouldn't pay.

well half an hour later they phoned again, saying they had spoken to FOB (first time he has answered them!) and told him what he would have to pay and that it would be backdated, apparantly he agreed that he would have to pay maintenence, but went mental about paying backdated amounts, as he claims he can't afford it, so he swore at the guy on the phone and hung up in him (how immature!!) anyway the guy phoned him back and told him that he has to pay backdated payments and since he has refused the money will be deducted from his wages, and they have already sent a fax to his employer to do this. been told that i can expect first payment around 19th january, but maybe sooner depending on how quickly his employer sends the payments

thats what he gets for ignoring them, there wouldn't have been so much backdated if he had cooperated with them!!

Really hope u get payment that quick, he sounds a jerk! To be honest tho will more than likely take up to 3 months for them to collect payments as thats how long it can take to go down the route of collecting it straight from wages. Took even longer for me to get any from my ex even though i was told to expect it earlier. CSA can sometimes be great other times they are crap. Just my opinion tho and hope it doesnt take that long. My ex kept changing jobs so they couldnt get any money

Hopefully you'll get your payment soon!!! And yup its nice to hear that if he messes with csa they mess with him type thing!!

iv actually had a good experience with csa so far, they always kept me updated and did what they said they would. i was under the impression that deduction from wages took a few months to set up, but he said 19th january at the latest so we will see!! maybe cause he swore at them!
