cycle advice plz

Morning all, we have just ttc can someone tell me info on cycles do u start counting from the first day of your period? And then is it roughly two weeks after you ovulate? Sorry I'm new here and probably gonna drive u all made lol

you count the first day that you come on as day one of your cycle... and as for ovulating i cant help you there hun, everyone ovulates at different times, and it depends on if your cycles are short or long, maybe try an opk kit (ovulation kit) that way you can find out when your ovulating... ive never used them before but i know a lot of the girls do... good luck with ttc xx

Another way to track ovulation is to see if you get egg white cervical mucus

In my case, that area gets swollen around ov as well (I know when I wash that area in the shower).

Many thanks ladies, I've just had coil removed so I'm not sure if I'm on my first period or if its to do with the removal I had it taken out Thursday and its the first bit of blood I've experienced so hoping its the start of my first cycle x

Which coil did you have removed? Im an ex-coil (mirena) TTCer, there are a few of us around so welcome!

I got my Mirena taken out on 5th August when I was on the 5th day of my cycle. It was hard to kinda know where I was coz I didnt bleed with Mirena (had it 4 years) but had some spotting on 1st August so counted that as CD1. I ovulated on CD18 and I got my AF on CD28. So Im on my 2nd cycle of TTC, CD8 and hoping sooooooooo much that this is my month! FX!

Ive heard some good reports that people can get PG in their first few cycles after Mirena. Last cycle I charted using OPKs and temping. This cycle Im also using ConceivePlus and as a Mooncup. If it doesnt work this cycle I think I will be getting a ClearBlue Fertility Monitor.
