Hey gals!

I had a diagnostic u/s last week. I have a 2.5cm cyst on one of my ovaries. I am supposed to be starting clomid for the first time really soon, like probably by the end of next week as soon as my withdrawal bleed starts i can do the countdown. I have a follow up with my OBGYN on tuesday to discuss the results and if I should move forward with Clomid or not. Obviously I really want to move forward with it but i don't want to do anything dangerous....

I have read that some docs will allow patients to take clomid as long as the cysts are under a certain size. I have also read as long as the cyst is not producing estrogen some docs will allow clomid.

What are your experiences? Any ideas on what questions or tests I should ask for before starting Clomid?

Thanks so much!

Both cycles I took clomid I had cysts. I'm not sure the exact size but nurse said small. They do follicle scans to check the sizes before the clomid and then two days after to check again. They also check my estrogen levels.

So to be clear, there is another u/s two days after you finish taking clomid to check the ovaries? Are your estrogen levels checked before or after you finish the clomid?

Sorry for the confusion. On cd 2 I do an u/s and they check the size of the cyst. Then I do clomid cd 5-9 and on cd 11 I do another u/s and they check estrogen that day as well.

Thanks so much!

Anyone else willing to share their clomid protocol with me? My doc appointment is on Tuesday early morning so I am making a list of things to review with my doc.

The one time I had a cyst I went on bc for a month so it would go away.

I don't really have a clomid protocol. I take it cd 2-6. My doctor doesn't do any monitoring. I do use opks and temp though to confirm o.
