ok me and hubby been trying for 3 yrs for a baby , i went to my gp and he sent me for an ultrasound scan ,, they found my fallopian tube was filled with fluid and they said i had a cyst 3 times bigger than my ovary which is bleeding into itself , i was trying to get more information out of them but they wouldnt tell me they said it had to be confirmed by a consultant first , i have an appointment friday with my gp , but im going mad wondering what it is , please can anyone advise if this is serious or if they have experienced this thanks x

i presume they mean either a haemorrhagic cyst or an endometrioma. haemorrhagic cysts are quite common and thend to grow for a while but then shrink down (sometimes they don't shrink and may need surgery to remove them). an endometrioma is a blood filled cyst which is related to endometriosis and they tend to remove them if they are larger than 2cm xx

just to add that i had a 6x6cm endometrioma on my left ovary and had surgery to remove it (i was pregnant within 6 weeks of it being removed :D )

I had a 5 x 6cm cyst that ruptured and was bleeding in to itself, it was found in June and it's now gone on it's own. No need for surgery :happydance: good luck
