In the past 14 months my periods have been irratic and long, 3 months were normal. This is the 1st time a doc has payed me any attention and actually sought to do something. I was scheduled for a D&C to scrape my womb as I have been bleeding heavy since april 9th!!!!!!!!!!!!He also scheduled me for a hysteroscopy to see the cause of my constant bleeding. I think my bleeding stopped today, should I tell the doc? I fear that if I tell him, he may cancel my surgery and just put me on clomid (as that is the plan once bleeding stops). Should I tell him or just let him do the surgery so he can take a look at see what the problem is????

Wow! MrsLarkins - I'm sure glad you found a doctor that would pay attention to you! Bleeding since April 9th is nuts.

I don't know what to suggest to you on what to tell your doctor. After your struggle I sure understand your need to not tell him so you can have the surgery. On the other hand, I think its important to be honest and upfront with a health care provider - especially one that has finally listened to you. They can only make the best diagnosis based on the information we provide, so I think its important to do everything. But would it hurt to wait? Don't know - when are the surgeries scheduled for? Is it in the next day or so or in the next month?

Good luck and keep us posted.

Personally I think you should wait a couple days just to make sure that it doesn't come back. Maybe mention it on Tuesday?

I agree with Red too. Wait it out and then tell if it actually is gone.
Thinking of you hun.

I also agree with Redfraggle.
If the bleeding stays away just tell your doctor you would still like to go ahead with the surgery so you get all the answers you are looking for.

Good luck.
