D & C to help fertility?

Hello,

I am new to the group so HELLO!

I am 33 years old, Hubby is 28. We have been ttc for almost 3 years. I have been to a reproductive endocrinologist and did 3 rounds of Clomid. I did ovulate each time but no baby.

My husband was tested and although his sample was smaller than they wanted they assured me "everything was ok".

I recently went to my OB/GYN for excessive bleeding. When my periods do come they are super heavy, lots of clotting and last about a month! I had started this one on July 5th.

Yesterday (8/14/12) my OB gave me a D & C to try and clean out my uterus. She did tell me it was pretty bad but all good now.

She said I would become more fertile after this, which is AWESOME. My question is tho, I have issues ovulating. I needed Clomid and Ovidrel to ovulate last time so will I still need it this time.

My OB/GYN also wants to put me on Metformin to help. Anyone know what I can expect.

((MY OB is in surgery and I have a message into my RE but so far no response))

Most people I know (myself included) had very upset tummies being on metformin. It sucks but if it helps then heck it's worth it.
