D&C while awake!

I was thinking too, how many other women has this happened too, and they just thought it was " normal"??? It kinda sickens me too that the nurses allowed this to happen. I know they don't want to be disrespectful or question the dr in front of the patient, but they could have asked to speak with him privately. Of course, there is the chance they didn't realize what was going to happen until it did. Still, they could report him privately if they are afraid of loosing their job. Sorry for the tangent, just made me wonder. Keep us posted!

I am so, so sorry for what happened to you. With my last loss I had the ER dr and nurse pull clots from my already-open cervix (with verbal consent by me) and that hurt like heck as it was. I could NOT imagine doing a d&c with forcible dilation awake with no freezing of any kind. I did end up with a d&c and I was put under. I felt no pain or discomfort. I didn't even fill the prescription for pain killers that I was given. And like the others, I had to sign all sorts of papers and go over the risks and what to expect during recovery.

I really hope you find a wonderful, kind and competent doctor to help you sort things out and that there has been no serious damage.

I am so sorry for your loss and that your precious angel wasn't given a more peaceful burial (for lack of a better word).

I've read more and yeah it is illegal to do any kind of procedure without consent. I pray he hasn't damaged you inside, I really hope you can try rest at least for your pain I know it's going to take time to adjust and understand what's happened but try rest your body don't over do it you'll cause more problems..

You need to start writing with times names addresses etc of where you went and in detail what happened and why!!
It will be upsetting and stressful but your going to need every tiny detail to sue this so called doctor

You might also want to go to another doctor ASAP so that they can document the physical evidence of what has been done. Otherwise, if you wait til you're healed, there won't be any evidence that someone was done to you.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and being so supportive. I had miscarried naturally at home and passed the baby in the sac but a week later was still in pain with horrie cramps and ultrasound showed I retained a clot and fluid. This doctor definitely needs to be stopped!!! It was traumatizing and so painful and I pray we can get a lawyer to take this case!!! We have a lot of bills from this doctors office already and I am so angry and frustrated with them!! I definitely will go get checked out an I am going to write down every detail of this and I'm going to go get a copy of my medical records from there so I have them with me when we see a lawyer. This shouldn't have happened at all and it's sickening and I pray that he never does this to anyone again!!!

The dialating was so painful and I just don't understand why he did it and would even tell me until it was over. I feel like he did it to hurt me so I would stop complaining of my pain. He and the rest of that office are jerks and have no clue what they're doing! I am so scared that there's damage and I pray there's not.
