I just thought I'd share something my hubbie said earlier on this evening as I thought it was really lovely...

Well Poppy was lying asleep in her Moses Basket while myself and hubbie watched TV, and my hubbie, out of the blue, just said "I know we should relax and enjoy it when she is asleep, but I can't because I miss her too much"

I thought it was soooo sweet. It made me realise what a great daddy he is.

So I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to the lovely, sweet things the dads of our babies have said or done.

My OH comes out with really stupid comments like

"why are the pontipines amish?" whilst watching in the night garden

but no sweet ones

I posted this in the BF forum a couple of months ago, but it still makes me smile to think about:

DH is holding Ronan and I'm getting comfortable in my rocker, adjusting my boppy pillow and I let out a little sigh.

DH: You ok?
Me: Yeah, just feel like Bessie getting hooked up to the milking machine.
DH: If it makes you feel better, think of him as a fighter jet and you're the refueling tanker!

He then proceeded to 'fly' Ronan squealing over to me.

DH doesn't come out with lots of cute little quotes but the sweetest thing he says to me is when he comes home from work and Dylan starts crying and I go to get up he says

"You just relax honey, I got this one"

*sighs* Best words I hear all day!!

Gabriel is holding onto fingers these days.

Drew loves it whenever Gabriel does this while hes being fed. Hes all "look! look! He loves me so much, and I love him too!" and then he nuzzles him some and just looks at Gabriel with total bliss. It just warms my heart!

Such a cute thread.

Every morning when I wake up OH, as soon as he sees Liam he will be full of energy. It makes me soo happy how excited they both get when they have their morning cuddles...and play fight lol. (Liam gets bored of cuddles and pinches OH's nipples.)

Ameen was fast asleep when DH got home from work at 9.30pm. He said to me im just going to get changed, 20 minutes later hes still not back down and his food was getting cold so I thought id better go wake him incase hes fallen asleep. Get upstairs and hes holding Ameen and staring down at his face. He sees me and says im sorry i know i shouldnt pick him up whilst hes asleep, but i just missed him so much and my arms were aching to hold him. AWWWWW!

well my hubby isnt one for many words but does do nice stuff for me

lately ive been a human yoyo up and down to kane at night and this morning hubby got up with him at 6

i woke at 8 with a start as i knew the 2 girls needed to be got ready for school , when i got down stairs, not only was Kane fed and changed, they girls were ready for school , pack lunches made and kitchen cleaned!!

when i asked why he hadnt woken me he said its 'OK i know your tired ive sorted it, i was going to take Kane on the school run with me'

Aww thats so sweet. You would have got a fright tho if you had woke up and had 1 less child than you went to sleep with! Lol X

LOL id have wondered if someone had kidnapped them all inc DH if that had happend as hubby hasnt ever sorted it all out himself before hmmmmm maybe i should be wondering what hes done haha

ive got 4 children but the eldest sorts himself out

My OH was watching her sleep the other day and said "she's just so beautiful isn't she"

When she was 1 month old he came home with a card for me saying what a wonderful mummy i was and gave me £200 to treat myself.

He just melts my heart sometimes!
