What are you all getting your dads for xmas??

I've got my mum sorted but cannot think of anything to get my dad. We always end up getting him an xbox game but tbh he rarely plays on it anymore and I wanna get him something different this year!

So can I ask what you are getting yours to help kick start my imagination lol

TIA x :flower:

im stuck on this one too, im thinking ill ask my brother if he will pull together with me and get my dad something decent for the garden or bbq, or garage or some kind of tool... im not sure!

I got my dad a jacket, trainers, mapbook and shirt :)

We got my dad a digital photo frame!! He has just got uptodate with a new comp and digi camera so hopefully he will like it!

Old school dr who dvds (he's collecting the entire old series')
Edward Monkton stuff (he likes the madness hamsters)
Star Trek socks

I usually go to the footy shop at the stadium and buy him a jumper or sommat but sure he is gettin sick of that kinda thing now lol. Prob get him a shirt from burtons and some smellies. Cant really go wrong with aftershave. Or shaving foam kinda thing. Men are so hard to buy for xx

Same as above really! This year he said don't bother as we're kinda broke but we've got him some grumpy grandad socks, bottle of whisky and a chocolate orange...Probs get the same for OHs dad too x

I got my dad the royle family dvd box set - in the past I've got him concert tickets, a gardening magazine subscription, books etc

Well my dad has asked for coffee, he does this every year and on birthday's and fathers day too, not posh coffee or anything just normal nescafe, his point is he doesn't need anything and if he did he would buy it himself, so as coffee is getting more and more expensive he wants that, i usually buy him coffee with a big bow on from me and hubby and get him something from the kids like grandad socks etc

Back to you though as i'm sure your dad won't want coffee lol what about a hamper with his favorite things in, you could make it yourself rather than buying a ready made one, it would be more personal x

Thanks a lot girls

Problem with my dad is he already has everything lol! If there's any new gadget or something that comes out, he goes and gets it before anyone has the chance to get it for him

He's not really into anything like a hobby as such... He loves his motorbike but the rest of his time is spent doing diy or gardening - and again, everything he could possibly need he's got himself lol

What about a magazine subscription for a gardening or motorbike mag?

I'm so stuck on what to get my dad too! My mom's easy, got her gift nailed down, but he's tough. I got him a really nice designer sweatshirt last year, so can't get another top (well I could but that would be lame), he's loves stuff he can actually use but I can't think of anything he needs. He's a LEAD (green) certified Architect so maybe I'll get him a subscription to a "green" magazine or something. Oh actually he could totally use a warm hat. Haha, sorry that doesn't help you at all but this has helped me, thanks :D

Is there a show he likes or something? You could get the dvds of it or something.

Thats the best thing i have heard... Bless your dad...

I usually get my dad something to do with his motorbike cleaning kit usually he loves it... maybe you could look into his hobby if he has one...

Men are terrible to buy for i never know what to get, its always smellies as a side present... bet they think we think they smell!

Good luck xx
