I think I still have mostly colostrum. My daughter just fed, and I felt she didn't eat as well as she could, she's still super sleepy at just 4 days old, so I pumped that side, and the milk is still very golden. Not a lot pumped out either... I'm just wondering, is this normal? She's my 2nd baby, and with my first by the end of the 3rd day my milk was very obviously in. I can't really feel it with this one yet.

Yesterday and today we took her in for a weight check at the dr and she gained 5 oz from yesterday to today, so she's obviously eating well... I'm worried my milk is taking too long though. I had a hemorrhage right after delivery, and I read that can cause a delay in the coming in of milk... Maybe that is affecting it... I'm worried, I just want my milk fully in...

It'll come, be patient. You're obviously producing the good stuff anyway with that weight gain x

Yes the haemorrhage could affect it but it doesn't seem to be affecting your LO as she is gaining weight anyway! My LO didn't start gaining till day 5 and my milk came in day 4 so you are ahead of the game.

I think you can relax now and just go with the flow (so to speak!).

Thanks! It looks like my milk is indeed coming in now. It was much lighter in color today. A lot like mature breast milk. I'm very relieved!
