Hi Ladies :flower:

A little background: Hubby and I got pregnant first month ttc in August. We had an incomplete mc at 7.5 weeks on Sept 22 and I got a D&C on Oct 6. 4 weeks after the surgery I started my first cycle.

We have been ttc now for only 5 months & no little blessing yet.
I spot before every cycle begins for 2-3 days. This cycle I started spotting on CD23 to now, so its been 5 days today. My cycle has also shortened from 28 days to 27. Is spotting for 5 days before af normal?

I am going to start charting my bbt this next cycle to find out when I ov for sure, so I know how long my lp is, but based on the pain I get every CD16, I think my lp is only 11 days.

Thank you :)

6 Days now...Should get AF today. If so, what would cause me to spot for 6 days before my period?

Still spotting. CD29 which is odd for me, CD30 tomorrow. I took a PG test and its negative. Anyone have something then can suggest?

Have you talked to your doctor? I'm not a medical person at all but I know spotting can be normal. However if you have never had it before and because you had a D&C you might want to get it checked out sooner rather than later, since you are TTC. Scar tissue is possible with a D&C or it could be something else from the MC.

I also started spotting before my period about 1.5 years ago. Sometimes it's just a few days, but it's been up to 7 days before. It's always mostly brown/old blood. Doctors weren't too worried about it every time I brought it up. However, I had a recent HSG which showed quite a bit of scar tissue from a previous ectopic surgery in 2009. They had to attempt to do the test on two different dates because they couldn't get the catheter through my cervix because of scar tissue covering it. My guess is that scar tissue was affecting my flow and some got stuck in there each month.

Anyway if you are worried about it, talk with your doctor!

Also it's very possible your hormones are still messed up from your MC. Everyone is different in their recovery time. Charting will help you a lot to figure out what might be going on.

Thank you for replying :) I have an appointment booked in April - hopefully i'll get some answers and ask some questions to put my mind at ease. Its comforting to know that this has happened to you also, maybe it is my hormones just balancing out. I think its definitely a hormone problem, which is an easy fix. I will keep you posted!
I started charting this cycle so hopefully that too will give me some answers.
Again, thank you.
