December 2018 Testing Thread ~ FX for Christmas BFPs!!

Hey Dream! Thanks for being awesome and getting these testing threads going! I have an embryo transfer tentatively scheduled for Christmas Eve, so please put me down as testing on December 29th! Yay for Xmas babies!!!!

Thanks everyone! I’ve been a tad cautious with my excitement. Disbelief mostly, since I thought for sure we didn’t BD enough, and b/c I swear I had waaayyyy more “symptoms” during TWW than now. But Day 3 of testing and lines do seem to be progressing so can’t beat that. I think I’ll feel fully at ease when my AF window passes (its Dec 7-9).

@thencomesbebe - I’m glad AF came so you can move forward - lots of luck to you!!

@bc112 - looks like there could be something there, but get that pink test to double check.

@TTC74 - yay! FX!

@kealz, @Harmony16, @dbinter12, & everyone else testing soon - lots of good vibes to you… bring on those BFPs!

@EMSwife - your lines are looking great too. Can’t wait to hear how your DH reacts :) Hopefully it’s more than “Oh, cool!”, which is what mine said last night (](*,)?!) He also couldn’t see the line on ANY of the tests. As the night went on though he gave more of an actual excited reaction - i think he just needed a minute and a cocktail, lol.

Men! I am honestly expecting the same reaction as when he saw the line last time with our son... "Oh shit what did we do" - even though he was a participant in the act and the decision to have babies hahaha roughly 2 hours until I get to see him!

I think I Od yesterday. I've got progesterone cream arriving today. Let the Christmas BFP gods bless me!!!

Daft question: how do you use progesterone cream and when do you use it?
My doc has prescribed me progesterone supplements for using when/if I get my next BFP. I wonder if I should maybe have been using them from ovulation...

Hahahaha omg I was dying from your husbands reaction Lulu!!

Typical men, they need time to process!!

I’m actually afraid of what my husband will say if I show him a positive test! And that’s sad! He’s just still on the fence quite a bit about baby #3 and he kind of has up and down days of wanting it and not wanting it - so for now I’m just going with the flow and not pressuring him with timed sex or ovulation.

So we will see!!

I have to take suppositories at the first whiff of a bfp too. I wonder if a little extra progesterone to prepare the uterus wouldn’t help, though. So, I ordered some over the counter Progesterone cream. You just rub it in various locations once a day.

I 'm going to try and hold out til 20th December to test, soo if you could put me down for that please. Good luck to everyone. Xxx what an amazing Christmas present two lines would be..

There's been some lovely Chrismtas BFP's so far this thread, congratulations guys!

I'm now 6dpo and as predicted, I'm itching to test already, but at 6dpo, I might as well just go and pee on my money, so I'll see if I can leave it a few more days.

Pleased that my chart shows a significant thermal shift, so looks like the Letrzole worked for me. Temp isn't especially high (yet?) but I think it's the shift that's the important bit, rather than the actual temperature, isn't it?

‘...pee on my own money’!
Chart does look good, Minnie.

Congratulations BC! :happydance:

LOL Lulu - husbands are so silly. That's why I showed mine the Digis first. No arguing with that.

Yesterday (8DPO) I felt great! Super rested and energized (probably because I overslept a little) and felt fine all day until I went to bed. I got nauseous out of nowhere! It lasted for half an hour maybe. I didn’t eat anything out of the ordinary (my homemade chicken noodle soup, in fact) and didn’t eat close to bed time either so I’m really not sure what did it. Then I had a BFP dream to top it all off. I don’t take it to mean anything other than the fact that my brain is constantly thinking about babies LOL

Super confused :( today is CD3, but last night while I was at my training, I got a sharp pinching pain that lasted a few seconds behind my belly button, immediately followed by the most intense mouthful of pennies taste, and this morning I woke with tender breasts and really sharp nipple pains. Why is my body doing this after I already got my (quite heavy) period? Has anyone had this happen? I'm supposed to go to the doc tomorrow for my baseline ultrasound and start the whole hsg/IUI process. I really hope this is just a normal period and all these weird symptoms are just a fluke of some kind.

thencomesbebe - hope tomorrow brings some clarity on things.

I’ve got mega bloat today. Like the kinda bloat that there’s either something happening or I need to eat much more fruit!

I’m 11dpo today. I tested twice mega early at 8DPO and 9DPO and got BFNs. Not been brave enough to do another one since but decided I’m doing a frer tomorrow. I know I tend to ovulate on the early side so I think for me, a frer at 12DPO could give me a very accurate result for this cycle.

If it’s positve - happy days!!!
:happydance:
If it’s negative - much wine... :wine:
