I am about to start my 3rd Letrozole cycle, having previously done 9 (non-consecutive) Clomid cycles. And even though I haven't caught on the Letrozole yet, looking at my bbt charts, my cycles are so much better than on the Clomid. They're text book now. 28 days, ovulate on day 14, bbt high until AF. Whereas on Clomid, I was definitely ovulating but temps were erratic in the lp and began to drop from around 10 or 11 dpo.

I'm really hoping that now I'm on Letrozole, it's just a matter of time.

Emma we’re fairly close, I ovulate cd23 after my mc too

Af should arrive around 26/27

I’m already going nuts, unfortunately I got the stomach flu so I’m stressed about dehydration and how that could effect possible implantation hopefully it was early enough and I can rehydrate enough today *fingers crossed*

My periods always regular. Due to unexplained infertility we gone for IUI.
Do u know why u have been changed from clomid to letrazole?I have to check with my doc abt it.
Hope Next Cycle works for both of us.

This is right up my alley but not for others. I'll only share what I found to show you HOW LONG the hcg flows in our system before a home pregnancy test can pick it up!

I read a medical article where Emergency Room doctors do this when they need a quick result and don't want to wait to send a sample down to the lab. Then I read a thread where dozens of ladies did this for laughs, and some got BFNs others got BFPs a few days earlier than a hpt. So I had to try!

Clinical Trial results (serum is more accurate than urine, but WB can be used, too)

The ER doctors used whole blood because they need immediate answer, but I wasn't in a hurry and I know erythrocytes settle into a clot on the bottom and serum floats into a clear liquid all on its own if you let it sit for a while.

I used a glucose test lancet on a toe. (Because if you've ever stepped on something, you might remember it keeps going and going and going). I held a tiny plastic container (one of the tiny plastic pockets where my prenatal vitamins come) until it stopped on its own. I was surprised how quickly a few drops added up.

I let it sit. After a couple of hours the erythrocytes settle in the bottom and clot. The serum floats into a clear liquid on top.

I dipped a strip to test it with an IC and poured the rest on top of the FRER before dipping it for 5 seconds in SMU.

At 7 DPO there was a double line, BFP but faint.

At 9 DPO it was a stronger BFP, but I was still getting BFNs with urine samples.

Today at 11 DPO it finally showed on SMU.

I didn't quite believe it since my pregnancy tests kept coming back negative or looked like evaps. I figured I caught another chemical.

Finally, it came up on an IC today.

So this process gave me an answer 4 days before it started to showed on SMU!!!

I'm only at 11 DPO so it could still end in a chemical. My definition of a BFP is bold double lines after 15 DPO and betas that keep rising!

But this did calm my nerves. I'm still puzzled at the big difference in time and lines.

At 7 DPO I had a very clear BFP on serum. But I washed it and rubbed it too much. I learned you can wash the strip by running water over it - without touching it.

Thanks so much for sharing! I did a stint as night shift lab assistant in a blood test lab in ER when I was a student, and it did turn up my interest in this :haha:
Im bookmarking this to come back in 9 months when I get back to ttc.
 
I'm out. Spotting and period cramps, with full flow planned to start tonight or early tomorrow. It doesn't hurt as bad as it did the past cycles. I guess I feel a bit numb right now. I think it's because I keep thinking each month is my month, and thinking through when would be good month's for a second kiddo's bday and I put my hope into it and then nothing happens. I felt sort of in a rush these past 6-7 cycles as I wanted baby to be born in time so that my kids could be two years apart in school (I have a 19 mo old son). That window has passed after this failed cycle, so now I guess I don't care as much. Which is good. It was silly anyway. No pressure for any specific month to be THE month anymore, just want it to happen some time in the next 10 months ideally. I think I'll give it another two months, and then restart with RE.

TTC74, I think I see that line. I hope it means good things for you!

We are unexplained too. So frustrating as there's nothing obviously wrong with either of us, it's just not happening.

We have changed from Clomid because I asked to. He wouldn't prescribe me more Clomid anyway as I've already had 9 cycles of it.

As for me, doc saw a 16mm follicle on one side, and a 17 on the other side (and one 12 but I don't think that will bear anything). He also wants to thicken my lining a bit, so starting tonight I'm on estrogen suppositories, tomorrow night DH is administering the trigger to me (since he's a medical professional! Lol) and Wednesday is our new IUI day. Faith, trust, and baby dust! :dust:
 
I'm out :( I decided to take my pms days (5 days) and just relax nothing of nothing to do with TTC. Only thing I did was temp & bought all my Ovulation & pregnancy test. :) Now that I'm officially off my Af "I'm back" now & feeling very confident for a 2019 Sept baby :) Congratulations to all you lovely ladies with their BFP this month :) and to whom still TTC stay positive & no stressing it'll be our turn next. Sending bunches of baby dust xo:dust::dust:

Tom is our 4th Anniversary. BFP would have been a nice Anniversary gift. Didn’t work out. Hopefully it worksout as DH Bday gift-which is in next month.

Feeling a lot of ovulation sensations tonight, has anyone done IUI and felt like they might ovulate before the trigger? I want to trust that my doc is confident in what he saw this morning that he is having us wait to trigger because he knows the follies will keep growing. Is it normal to feel my uterus so much? It feels so full and heavy, and having lower back pressure like I'm ovulating. Has anyone else had this and had the IUI cycle work anyway? I have a 12, 16, and a 17... any chance they could still be growing even with these cramps? (Also, hsg was Friday so I'm wondering if the cramps could be from that?)

And****does anyone know if it's normal to have estrace suppositories cause EWCM?! Worried that I O'd but hoping this is just a side effect? I was at the clinic this morning with the two follies growing. Omg I sound crazy! I just don't want to mess this up. We are waiting until the trigger tomorrow night to dtd!

Update: called the doctor and took an opk (which thankfully was very very negative), I am feeling exactly how I'm supposed to! Super relieved. The nurse said it's very common to feel like you're ovulating when you're not at this stage. Yay ❤️ And estrace causes fertile looking cm, so all is normal!
