****December Testing Thread**** 23 BFP's

Okay, I'm at 9 dpo...the mild cramping stopped today...sort of...now instead of nearly constant cramping like AF cramps, every so often I get a sharp twinge. In all honesty, it feels like AF is coming on (that heavy kind of bloated feeling), but I don't normally get that in my cycles. I rarely get cramps in my normal cycles.

Temp is somewhat highish still...but dipped from what I thought was going to be a triphasic chart.

Overall though, I'm just increasingly pessimistic that it's going to be anything other than me praying AF goes away before I board a plane to see my in-laws for Christmas.

Anyone with any encouraging stories? (No, I haven't tested yet. I guess I'm just so sure it's a negative that it's not even worth thinking about testing this month.)

9dpo is way too early to get discouraged. Implantation occurs anywhere between 7-10dpo, so you def still have a chance. I know of women getting AF like cramps a week before AF was due and getting BFP. Stay positive! :-)

I have actually read alot that its between 6-12 days! So you are definitely too early to be worried!!

I am 8DPO today, although personally I am not sure if that number is 100% accurate but I kept really bad track of things this time around as I am trying not to stress and over think things. I am not tracking symptoms or temp or anything, hopefully this stress free month will give me a Christmas Positive!! I got a bunch of internet cheapies and tested today (afternoon, not FMU) and of course it was a BFN. Keeping calm and not thinking about it really during the day, except for the occasional and inevitable baby thought.

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us ladies who have yet to see our BFP! XOXO:hugs:

So nice to see so many bfps! That's wonderful congeats ladies!
To everyone waiting good luck!!!!
And to the ones like myself.... see you in January's thread!

Af got me and I never even Od....holding this cycle will be at least normal =[

Congratulations to all the BFPs! And :hugs: to everyone that the witch has decided to visit (Bring on the 2013 babies!)

I'm 9DPO today and I'm really trying not to test early! I had some spotting/creamy CM from 7dpo-8dpo. Not continuously, but a few times throughout the day. I've never had LP spotting before so I'm hoping that it's a good thing. I've never had a chart like this months either.

My fingers are crossed for anyone who is left to test this month. Good luck!

This is what happened to me THIS month. I had AF like cramps from 6-8DPO, then sharp twinges now and then on 9DPO. Now I'm sure that was implantation. I also had a dip in my BBT right around then. Oh, and I've been bloated since 10DPO. I look further along than I actually am right now because of it haha :flower: So don't get discouraged yet!! :dust:

So ladies I'm 13dpo and I've had a cold since 10dpo. I have some very mild cramping but nothing else going on. AF is due Thursday according to my fertility calendar. Hoping for a BFP but worried at the same time since I had to be on strong antibiotics up until this past Monday morning. The Meds I was on apparently interfere with folic acid absorption which helps develop the baby's neural tube. I continued to take my pre-natals though! :-) plus I read that the neural tube doesn't start developing until 3 wks after conception (about 5 wks of pregnancy). Anyway, I'm hoping that I am indeed preggers and that my baby wasn't harmed at all from the antibiotics.

GL to all of the ladies still testing this month!

Sasha- I AM CROSSING EVERY FINGER, TOE, LEG, ARM, EYES and any other body part that will cross...although I think I named them all LOL

:happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance:
Let this be your month!!!!!!

Also, I think its really interesting that you are 13DPO and I am 8DPO right now, when last month I was ahead of you in DPO times (if that makes sense). Weird!!

Thanks! :-) I'm thinking I'm ahead of you this month Bc I got AF 4 days early last month so I O'd earlier. I'm crossing everything for you too love! Hopefully this is it for us!

hey thankyou, my temping is the same as last months, digital thermo in the ear but this month i take them around 12pm wheras last month it was at 5 am but to be honest i think my thermometer is rubbish, im going to get a new basic one for next month, i had my period a few days ago , for four days light brown blood , i am wondering if i have a problem conceiving, beings though the blood is old, as if its staying longer inside the uterus, i keep reading things on the internet thats making me paranoid lol xxx gud luck ladiess

Sasha, last month up until ovulation, I was taking 3,000 mg of amoxcicilin antibiotics. I have never in my life taken such high dosage, and for 10 days! LO and behold I fell Pregnant that same month so try not to stress it too much :)

And big congrats to Lou!

Hi Hun...I was on the antibiotics during ovulation and over a week after ovulation. I'm really nervous if I do happen to be pregnant. I want this baby so bad but I don't want to have to be worried my whole pregnancy that something's going to be terribly wrong. :-/

Do you feel super different this month than you have in past months. You have talked about having a bun in the oven in a couple of posts and last month you didnt really talk that directly about having a baby in there. When are you going to test!? You are making me so anxious! :happydance:

Like I said in a previous post, I really havent been symptom tracking this month, or really trying not to since I over analyzed everything so much last couple months. BUT this month by boobs got sorer MUCH sooner than usual. Like 5DPO...they hurt so bad that I cant even sleep on my stomach because they are SOOOO sore. But really that is the only symptom that has been undeniable. Thought I felt some twinging at one point but didnt pay close attention to it. Because of all the problem we had at the beginning of the month Im afraid there really is no hope for me this time around

I don't have a bun yet lol! I'm just saying IF I am I don't want the baby to be harmed at all. AF was due today...I have mild cramps and thought I saw a couple orangey spots when I wiped this morning but now no spotting. If AF isnt in full effect by Friday or Saturday then ill test. I don't feel too different though. I AM getting a yeast infection though from all of the antibiotics I was on. :-(

DON'T TURN TO ASSISTED REPRODUCTION TOO QUICKLY
Having a hard time conceiving? Take heart! A study presented at a reproductive medicine conference in Vienna, Austria, shows that most healthy couples who haven't achieved pregnancy after one year of trying will ultimately conceive during the second year.
A new perspective
An American team from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in North Carolina analyzed data on 782 couples from seven European cities; they concluded that, even when the woman was aged between 35 and 39, fewer than one in 10 failed to conceive after two years -- unless the male partner was over 40.

Lead investigator Dr. David Dunson suggests that couples should be patient and doctors should not intervene too fast with assisted reproductive techniques unless there are known reasons for a couple not conceiving naturally within a year. He told the annual conference of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology that recent research undertaken by his team showed that fertility in women started to decline as early as the late 20s, and, for men, the late 30s. This was due primarily to declines in the per-menstrual-cycle conception rate, however, and not to an increase in the proportion of couples unable to achieve an unassisted pregnancy. Now, his team has extended their research using data from the European Fecundability Study to see what the implications are for fertility rates overall.

Age matters
"On average, the time to pregnancy increases with the age of the woman," says Dunson. "The percentage failing to conceive within a year ranged from 8 percent for 19- to 26-year-olds, to 13 to 14 percent for 27- to 34-year-olds, to 18 percent for 35- to 39-year-olds." Regardless of age, however, most of the women who failed to conceive within the first 12 cycles did conceive at some point during the next 12. Only 3 percent of 19- to 26-year-olds, 6 percent of 27- to 34-year-olds, and 9 percent of the women who were 35 to 39 years old failed to conceive in the second year, provided the male partner was aged under 40.

Starting in the late 30s though, male age was important: The percentage of failures after one year for women aged 35 to 39 rose from 18 percent to 28 percent if the male partner was over 40. After the second year, the figure was 9 percent with male partners under 40, and 16 percent with male partners over 40.

Hold that thought
Dunson says there were clear increases with age in the number of menstrual cycles needed to achieve pregnancy and in the probability of being classified as "clinically infertile" -- a definition applied after a year of trying to conceive. The research, however, had clearly shown, that among outwardly healthy couples with no known conditions associated with infertility, most who failed to conceive naturally within the first year would conceive naturally in the second year -- regardless of age.

"In the absence of clinical indicators of infertility in addition to a long time to pregnancy, it may be appropriate to delay assisted reproduction until the couple has failed to conceive naturally in 18 to 24 months," says Dunson. "There is a large amount of normal variability in fertility, and many couples having below-average but normal fertility may fail to conceive within a year." This is especially true for "older" couples, many of whom do not conceive within the first year but are successful in the second.

What does this mean to you? Dunson says it is important for doctors to avoid recommending assisted reproduction too soon, especially given well-documented side effects. He suggests, "Fertility treatment, such as IVF and ICSI, can result in an increased risk of multiple pregnancies, pregnancy complications, low birth weight, major birth defects and long-term disability among surviving infants." He also noted that the chance of success with assisted-reproductive technologies (e.g., fertility treatments) decreases with age, while the side effects become more prevalent.

Well I am staying super positive for you!! The fact that your period is late (whereas last month you were early) I think is a super good sign!! I cant wait to see you BFP!! XOXO

Hey girls...Just want to put this out there so I'll stay strong. I'm at 8DPO and just bought a 3-pack of FRERs. Don't want to waste them so I'm really trying to make it until 14DPO. (or at LEAST 12DPO!). Ha...wish me luck!

No real symptoms except some cramping on 7DPO, which could have been all in my head. Here's hoping for all of us!

Well...I was nervous about testing today, so I didn't test with FMU. I actually drank a whole glass of water and a cup of coffee before I decided to test and I got a faint :bfp:!!! I am so excited!!!
