My son is 2 months old, and I have been exclusively bfing with almost no trouble since he was born. We had one week of bad latching, and about 1.5 months of sensitive nipples (but not what I would call sore or cracked).
Lately I have been having deep, sharp breast pain after I nurse. It's pretty random - sometimes it doesn't happen for 2 hours, sometimes 30 minutes after he's eaten. I know that this sort of pain is a symptom of thrush - but we have no other symptoms. LO doesn't have any white creamy spots, or any redness of any kind, and my nipples are completely normal and don't hurt at all. I can even let the water from the shower pelt them!
Nursing is completely pain-free. It's just afterwards that it hurts.
Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, or experience?
Thank you immensely!!
