New to the forum! Hello everyone.

The first picture was taken on August 12th. (5 weeks, 6 days) This was the day of my first ultrasound and also the first day I found out 100% there was a little one on the way. The surprising bulge was one of my first clues haha. I find out next Wednesday if that big belly of mine is holding twins. It runs in the family.

The second picture is my baby bump as of November 4th. (18 weeks)

My boyfriend thinks I am strange because I wanted twins, but I know I never will have them because it doesn't run in my family.

Aww, well there's still a chance even if twins aren't in your genetic history! There's many accounts of random multiple pregnancies. So maybe you didn't get lucky this time, but don't give up hope entirely.

And I'm pretty scared, to be honest. My OH is actually a fraternal twin, himself, but I know this doesn't affect our chances since it purely relies on the woman's family history. My great-uncle was a twin so its carried down through my father's side of the family. But since he is a twin we're pretty aware of all the extreme ups and downs the reality of twins carries.

In one way, it would be nice to have the two kids I've always dreamed of in one go and have them grow up together. But on the other hand, its double the trouble and double the finances especially since this came as a complete surprise and I feel completely unprepared even for one! I mean, I'm ready emotionally to be a mother but sometimes it just feels too soon to be a reality.

In any case, I guess I'll find out in less than a week and figure it out from there haha!

Haha I am not giving up hope! My OH thinks that we will end up having twins. He says he just has a feeling, I hope he is right lol. But I am glad it didn't happen this time because we just don't have the room or money to support two. Good luck next week with your ultrasound!

Here is me. It was taken like 20 minutes ago lol. I am 35 weeks pregnant today, meaning 35 days to go! Only 2 weeks until full term! I always look bigger from my left side.

Haha! I'm "tall" (only 5'7", but according to my midwife that's tall..) baby is able to stretch up and down rather than out, this is the first time I've felt really wide!
