Hi girls

I've got a load of ongoing health issues and hydronephrosis of my one kidney. I was scheduled to be induced at 38 weeks before I developed hydronephrosis.

Now with the hydronephrosis my consultant wants to deliver the baby at 36 weeks. I forgot to ask her how this would done ie would I still be induced. I did some research online today and most of the info I can find online seems to state that they wouldn't induce that early so it would need to be a section.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Hi hun, i was induced at 36 weeks as i also had gestational complications due to my terminal illness, and the risks baby was putting on me, i was induced with the prostin gel, and baby was born 27 hours later, unless there is good enough reason i don't see why you can't be induced xxx

Oh thanks hon :hugs: I'm not greatly looking forward to induction but I'd rather that than a section.

Hope you are your little girl are doing well.

I think you could still be induced at 36 weeks. I had my baby at 36 weeks and the original plan was to induce me until I got quite ill and had to have an emergency section.

I was induced at 35 weeks for Preeclampsia. I had tow rounds of prostin gels, 12 hours apart and then my labour started and established. I had my wee boy a few hours later with no pain relief required and he was a healthy 5lb8oz (good for dates really) and he is now a very healthy and tall nearly two and a half year old : )

Good luck.

Oh thanks Nov_mum thats so reassuring to hear  Hopefully I will be able to get induced and miss the section out completely.
