Has anyone denied cervix checks?

I've read women have and I'm considering as I really do not want to know if I've dilated more.

I know I've also read getting checked doesn't induce labor HOWEVER I'm not sure I believe that entirely.

37wks tmrrw and appt at 115pm...to get checked or to not???

Hey yes looking at hypno birthing at the moment and it explains yes you can chose to deny a check x

Youre allowed to deny anything and everything you want. YOURE IN CHARGE!

So ladies I went today and they said they weren't going to check me until 38wks, next week.

I asked why did they check me last week at 36, said it was only for the group b test.

So I'm ok being checked at 38wks lol

I think everyone is different, and maybe has a different sensibility.
Again, like everyone said, you are allowed to deny or accept anything you're comfortable with!

Yes 36 weeks is the strep b!
But if you decide you don't want it anymore at 38, you can say it!

Personally, I had a few early labour scare (little one still came at term at 37+2). And I had cervix check at 26, 28, 30, 32, 36 and almost 37. It didn't make the little one come sooner. (By the time my water broke at 37+2, I was still 1cm). But, again, for someone people, I have seen that after a check, they dilated, but sometimes, it might be - little one was ready, or they were more sensitive (after all, some ppl get induction, and do all the tricks and STILL nothing happens... so I think little ones still have a little mind of their own when they're ready or not! haha!)

Just an update..

Still 2cm dilated 50% effaced was 2cm and 25% (long & thick cervix at 36wks)

Feel fine...but with DD1 gave birth at 38+4 still hoping she stays til 40wks! Lol I'm not ready.
