Hi ladies :hi:

I have suffered with depression for aslong as I can remember and have been diagnosed with cyclothymia now. I take sertraline 150mg a day. I went to see the doctor today to tell them I got my :bfp: on friday and to check whether I could take my antidepressants still. They have put me on the lowest dose (50mg) and I am speaking to the midwife on weds. I just wondered if anyone else has gone through something similar and can let me know how they coped?

Im really worried about how the pills could affect my baby and how not taking them will affect me :nope:

Any input would be really welcome :flower:

thanks loz xx

Sertaline is zoloft I believe. Its the "safest" med out there to be on when you are pregnant. My OB said she has had MANY women on it during pregnancy and they even breastfed after with no issues.

of course they would prefer you to not be on anything BUT if you need it, this is the best one.....
Sometimes being on it is better than not and being super stressed, depressed and anxiety ridden.

good luck!

I'm bipolar and also take a to depressants along with mood stabilisers, my psychiatric dr switched me from 200mg of sertraline when I turned 7 weeks and put me onto EScitellopram as its apparently safer, I would have a chat to your dr or mental health carer and discuss the options :)
