designing the nursery

I have been having the hardest time designing LO nursery. I picked the basic colors (pink and purple) and the theme is butterflys. BUT I can't pick what shades of pink and purple I want or how to do the walls. I want one wall to be like a scenery...Green paint on bottom like grass, blue on top like the sky and then I will paint flowers and clouds and the sun on it. But the other walls I just don't know.

I don't have a regular shaped room either. I don't really know how to explain how it looks and I don't have pictures because the walls are not done being built. I did try and draw what the room was shaped like and added it on here as an attachent. But I was just trying to decide the pattern.

My first idea was just Pink on top Purple on bottom of the walls.
Second: Vertical Pink and Purple strips
Third: Horizontal Pink and Purple strips
Forth: Pink and Purple diamonds
Fifth: Just Pink or just Purple on the walls.

I don't want the pattern to be to much and have it like hurt my eyes. My mom's friend had the idea of doing pink and purple diamonds on the top half of the wall and just a plain color on the bottom so it wont hurt my eyes.

So if anyone has any advice on it or has any new ideas they would be very helpful

hi hun, i think it would look cute with the thik stripes on the wall(up and down) with maybe a few lg butterflies....they have really cute butterflies that stick out/off the wall in all different sizes usually at craft stores or on ebay..... or maybe just do 1 lg wall like that then the others a light purple or pink with a few pictures of butterflies with babies pix.... maybe over LO's bed u could do a circle thing with a little scenery thing with her name over the top ?just a suggestion

Personally A big fan of the two solid colors (eg. pink up purple down) with a boarder but thats me! Hope you figure out what you want soon

i quite like nurseries that have lines of different verticle widths on the bottom half of the wall and then the top half just one color say pink or purple, dont think that would work if you were wanting a feature wall though, i would say if your having that just have the other walls as one color. even adding a brown or something in with the lines or a white in between each colour so it is not so full on. brown pink and purple would suit nice

you could have the scenery going up around the door? and make itlike a little canopy type thing? I think that would look really nice then have the two Walls next to the door a lightish pink, and the two longest Walls that make the L shape- purple and getting butterfly stick on transfers they do some really gorgeous ones! which would bring all the room together, or if you have it purple at the bottom and pink up the top with a butterfly border?(not sure how nice it would look with a scenery wall though I'm not sure if it would go) and fewer butterfly stickers ... Hope this helps xx
